I would say around three months. There are many internal changes that one can receive which may not be telling. For example, many monsters seem to have a heightened sense of sight. If that was the only thing given to you for your first change, it would be impossible to guess exactly what you would be turning into. This is the main culprit behind Kuzuryuu's late recognition. Facing the Ordeal of the Mountain did not help either, however.

He shared many traits with a Shiba before, which seem to have increased in intensity with these changes. His strong will and impressive personality are even more pronounced at times now, which in itself is a trait of the noble Shiba. He has an aversion to most water it would seem, avoiding puddles as best as he can while walking outside. I will let you know if there are any more that make themselves apparent to me, as that is all I have right now. A schedule board would not be a terrible idea.
