How long did it take Kuzuryuu-san to learn his monster?
I must admit that I should be disappointed in myself could I not guess what I was soon on!
Well, it cannot be helped if that is the case.
As to Kuzuryuu-san's Shiba side, I would be interested to hear of any other signs.
It is not a thing I ever thought werewolves to have, canine traits from sources other than the wolf.
Well, the media-version wolf, I suppose?

With so many of us planning to have jobs, a schedule board of some sort would likely be ideal.

I would say around three months.
There are many internal changes that one can receive which may not be telling.
For example, many monsters seem to have a heightened sense of sight.
If that was the only thing given to you for your first change, it would be impossible to guess exactly what you would be turning into.
This is the main culprit behind Kuzuryuu's late recognition.
Facing the Ordeal of the Mountain did not help either, however.

He shared many traits with a Shiba before, which seem to have increased in intensity with these changes.
His strong will and impressive personality are even more pronounced at times now, which in itself is a trait of the noble Shiba.
He has an aversion to most water it would seem, avoiding puddles as best as he can while walking outside.

A schedule board would not be a terrible idea. It would make it easier to correspond with one another.

If you are able to hold your ground while beholding their might, they will accept you into their kingdom easily. With such a brave soul at my side this should be a quick task.

[ And she'll tag along easily enough, needing absolutely no encouragement. Birds!!! She's just assuming they will be cute as fuck birds rather than terrifying beasts of the night, since Tanaka's idea of "terrifying monstrosities" usually fits Sonia's idea of "how adorable". ]

What are the names of these denizens of the Tanaka Kingdom?

[They are very cute birds! Three budgies, how cute can you get? Well...parakeets technically, but details. There's a blue one, a green and yellow one, and a pretty grey and pink one, who all start chittering and whistling once the two of them enter.]

Actually, they are all fairly new denizens, and as of yet do not have names.

[He's been thinking very hard on this fact! Them and the two geckos...he leads her over to a bag of bird seed.]

I have been awaiting a show of their power before deciding on just the right names.

Ah, but they are so charming! [ She's dropped the "terrifying" since she can see them now, eyes lighting up as she claps her hands together. Sonia has never been good at not calling cute animals cute. Of course, she's also never really been scolded for it, which is probably why she hasn't corrected her habit as of yet. ]

You will let me know when you name them, yes? Tanaka-san's names for things are always really exciting. My own are less so...even the horses at home did not have names worthy of your standards, I fear. What do you need me to do?

Mmm...whoever owned them before must have cared greatly for them. [He offers her a small scoop that's full of the bird seed.] Another reason I have yet to name them is the hope their true owners will come seeking for them...so that they may be returned. But if this does not happen soon, they will require new titles.

Take that, and follow me. [He has two scoops of his own, one in each hand, and leads the way to the cages.]

Feeding the avians is as simple as opening up the hatch for their food and pouring the seed inside the tub. Their water seems clean enough to leave for now.

[ That is indeed pretty simple. ...But it puts her in close vicinity of the birds, and she gets to be involved in a fun activity with Tanaka, so simple doesn't bother her in the least. Sonia even hums a little bit as she goes about her assigned task, opening up the food hatch and pouring the seeds inside from her single small scoop. ]

[Fluffy and very excited about getting food! The one she fed chirps and flutters over to perch on the edge of the tub, pecking excitedly at the food. The other two follow suit as Gundam feeds them as well.]

[He is. Maybe not as much as he would be, if they were animals he'd raised himself, but there's a little color in his cheeks anyway.]

[It doesn't take long for this to click, mostly thanks to Ibuki who gave him chocolates at 4 in the morning, but Sonia receives a much different reaction than the music student.

His face immediately lights up and that's probably the fastest he's ever tugged his scarf up before, all the way up to his eyes. He pulls back from her as well, like she just caught on fire or something, and his eyes flick between that bag and her face.]

[Literally any other girl giving him chocolates is one thing. It's so very easy to say that they're just giving him left overs they couldn't give to other boys, or the ones that turned out horribly and weren't suited for other boys. He can even say they're trying to lower his defenses so they can attack him later (and has and will continue to accuse them of it, since apparently all of the girls are giving him some.) But he knows Sonia is more sincere than that. So these are actually chocolates that are meant for him.

[It takes him a few beats to recover before he drops one of his hands from his scarf and carefully takes the bag. Looking inside doesn't help because oh no, they're cute. He can recognize the shape well enough to know they're supposed to be cats. Or most of them are. Cute chocolates from a cute girl what does he do.]

[Most important question here. Like sure, he knows the difference between giri choco and honmei choco to an extent, but he's never gotten any himself before. Not counting Ibuki, at least, but one instance doesn't help with this at all. Dammit he didn't think he'd be getting any this year at all, he would have asked Fuyuhiko about it before if he'd known--!!!

Then again...maybe Sonia herself doesn't know? She loves Japan and clearly knows her stuff but maybe she doesn't know there's thing like giri and honmei...maybe she just knows the very basics...but if that's the case what would he get her for White Day? He's making this way more complicated than he needs to.]

[ Cute. It's cute, the way he gets so flustered. It's not like she can't fluster anyone else - it actually happens often enough, and even in Ryslig with some others she's spoken to - but when Tanaka's flustered, he gets more red than anyone else. And fiddles with his scarf, like that.

I do not believe they have anything you cannot consume within them...I had to make Kuzuryuu-san dark chocolates since Nanami-san seemed to believe he does not enjoy milk chocolates - I do not know why? I myself prefer sweeter chocolates to more bitter ones - but I did not think you would mind milk chocolate?

[ Ah. That...sure is a lot of rambling that doesn't answer what he actually asked, since she misconstrues the question off the bat. Everyone is such a picky eater these days, she jumped to the immediate option, but - ]

If he says it's okay and he runs away with the wrong idea, and then gives her something far more expensive and special on White Day, that's be bad...should he ask? Should he be that forward? No, it's better to ask. He doesn't want to fuck up, and a little embarrassment over being wrong now is worth it.

Unacceptable! If you receive chocolates from a girl, no matter what kind they are, you must return the gesture! If you cannot do at least that, you cannot call yourself a man!

[He's a Good Boy. His mama raised him right thank you very much. That said, he's still very flustered, almost seeming to puff up a little in the way his shoulders raise some and his chest fills with air and holds it for a bit. And then he lets it out slowly, cheeks almost seeming to grow redder with the action.]

Th-that said, the fact that they are honmei chocolates is...surprising. It must be the demonic charms that have hypnotized you into believing such an act is in any way a good idea. I...accept them, though.
