<BeastofPerdition>
To seek the council of a demon is a rather normal occurrence where I come from.
How may I be of assistance?
[Admittedly he'd figure people would ask him for animal help rather than monster help, so that part is a little surprising. But he's here to help!]
<hipponotic>
i'd really like to find a way to cure them but i don't know if they're still alive. they're supposed to be, but i can't exactly check their pulse like this so, i was wondering if a demon or a shade could at least tell if their soul is still there?? i don't think i can stop myself from petrifying, so i have to know (>﹏<)
<BeastofPerdition>
Traditionally speaking, in most cases petrifaction is non-lethal.
To cure it you would need to sprinkle the blood of whatever beast caused the ailment onto the victim, but would have to be cautious in doing so. To touch the blood of the beast - Medusa, the Basilisk, and creatures similar to them - would turn you to granite, so you would need to carry it within another vessel that would turn to granite itself instead.
In some stories and myths, killing the perpetrator would also reverse damage done.
Of course, many things have not followed such reasonable laws on this peninsula, and you may find yourself facing different circumstances.
[History 101 with Gundam Tanaka.]
Where should I meet you?
I am not positive if I will be able to tell one way or another, but I am willing to try.
<hipponotic>
I'm hiding most of them in a building near my apartment... can you go there?
[He gives him an address. Though before he can answer, he adds a little more.]
...how much blood?
<BeastofPerdition>
Also "most of them" Yuya how many people did you turn to stone...]
Not much blood is usually required. A few drops is enough.
But yes, I can meet you there.
It should not take long to reach such a location by flight.
[Which he can do now!!]
<hipponotic>
Learning that he can fly isn't a huge surprise... he had the outlines of wings the last time he saw him, and he's getting used to that sort of thing in general. So he just kind of smiles gratefully at the screen in response.]
that's cool. (*^‿^*) thanks again, see you in a bit?
<BeastofPerdition> ==> Action
[And he really does try to make the flight quick! Though he's still a little ways away from Bavan so it's not the shortest trip. But soon enough he's outside the apartment, looking around for Yuya as he knocks on the door. Just in case the Naga was actually waiting for him outside rather than in.]
no subject
The apartment is empty, except for Yuya's victims. He was able to recover three of them. Eerily enough, their expressions are mostly blank ... they'd been properly mesmerized, so they could easily be mistaken for a normal statue without a base. Still, it's uncomfortable for him to look at, and there's some shame on his face as he can't even say anything about them. He doesn't know who they are or what, exactly, he did... but his network device and a pad of paper are on a nearby kitchen counter, so he'll go to retrieve those first before dwelling on this. That way, they can talk.]
