Do not "like" touching people? From whom did you hear such a rancid lie? To belittle danger in such a way... Allow me to correct you, young Prince! It is not so simple, and to allow you to run around with the wrong idea could endanger yourself and others. Since my youth, poison has been poured into my body. Such a potent venom now courses through my veins that it naturally permeates through my skin. Touching me will surely cause any normal mortal to perish within moments, withering on the spot!
[...after the photoshoot though, that sounds like a lot of bullshit if he continues deeming Kuzuryuu as a "normal" mortal.]
However...while I would hardly put you at the same caliber as someone like Hinata, it is obvious you possess some power that allows you to survive this. Perhaps it is the power that Maga-Z has gifted you that spares your life. Or perhaps it is something more than that that I have yet to discern. Whatever the case may be, you appear to be able to withstand such toxicity. If you wish for me to participate, I am capable of doing so. Only with you or Hinata. I will not permit any others to stare fate down and dare it to take away their life.
I didn't hear it from anybody! I just guessed because of how you were acting at the photoshoot.
[LIES. But he's not about to make Hinata look bad.]
But alright, why don't you partner with me then? You and Hinata are too close to the same size, you'll probably just end up falling over like a couple of dumbasses if you try. And if Peko wants to play too, then she can partner with Hinata. Since she doesn't have our resistances.
[It took him a full two minutes to actually type that last line. It just sounds so silly, playing along with something he's certain is ridiculous nonsense. But he kind of feels like he can't NOT comment on something like that, especially since Hinata said that Gundam being okay with touching someone is a sign of trust. He guesses he can play along this one time. Just don't get used to it, it'll probably never happen again.]
[Anyway, doing something like this is probably good for Gundam, right? Lord knows, he'll probably just sulk in a pool chair or something otherwise. And being ASKED to play surely makes it even better. Kuzuryuu's starting to appreciate being invited to things, so the same is likely true for Gundam.]
[It may have taken you a full two minutes, Kuzuryuu, but it did a lot of good. And he's not wrong in any of those assumptions. Hell, even after chicken he'll probably be caught sulking in a chair. But being invited and even asked to participate in something like this? By someone he considers himself close to? It's really nice. Don't worry though, he hardly ruined anything.]
I was not looking down upon you. "Young Prince" is not meant to reflect the differences in ages between us, but to refer to your position as exactly that.
[You are the "young master". The young heir to the Kuzuryuu family. YOU'RE YOUNG, KUZURYUU.]
I accept your proposition! Kehehe...I look forward to offering my support in this battle against your nemesis. We shall face this "Jakuzure" and their cavalry, and we will emerge victorious!
[That is an excellent plan, Peko. But how should he take this invitation...it would be safe, right? Having someone else there...that'd be good. Maybe he could even observe her face the water and learn from example...]
Were you aiming to visit today at any point? If not, if we could go together once before the party, I would appreciate your company.
[That was difficult to type out and send but there it is. Please help him, Peko. And also please don't make fun of him but he's pretty sure you wouldn't.]
Is not "the Dragon Prince" a title befitting such a powerful and fiery heir, however? Does it not have a certain charm to it? Certainly befitting of one with the powers you possess.
[He's not changing it.]
If she is not even your nemesis, then the battle will be almost boringly easy.
Well that's better than "young prince," I guess. But still kind of excessive.
[Wow holy shit, flattery much??? Fiery is a given, but powerful? Really? Nobody calls him powerful, not that he isn't glad to hear it. Although...given that it's clearly in reference to powers he doesn't actually have...]
Where are you even getting this powers thing from, anyway?
Do not be so humble. As to your powers, if you are not aware of them then they must not have awakened yet within you, beyond what has been afforded to you by Maga-Z. You gazed upon Pandemonium, did you not?
[There's only slight hesitation from Gundam before he replies. Text was really such an awful form of communication...it was hard to read the meaning behind things sometimes, making it difficult to know how to proceed.
Was Kuzuryuu being dismissive or just...disagreeing with him? Not that he'd stated his opinion fully yet but.]
I was not claiming that it did. Or that it did in this case.
[Because things like that are plenty capable of granting people powers in some situations.]
While events like that have profound effects on the ones who experienced them, especially on mortals, those do not always manifest in such a way. Often times, they simply awaken latent powers a person already possessed, or was capable of possessing. And "powers" is a wide net to cast, referring to skills that range from otherworldly powers found in those who are gifted in such talents, to strengths suddenly realized capable of rendering the impossible possible again.
[They do count, and are what he's mostly referring to here. The magic bullshit that's involved is actually just a by-product of his high opinion of the yakuza heir. It's...kind of an unavoidable thing. Clearly you were born with it.]
[No shut up, text is the best. It's so much easier to hide things that maybe you don't want people to pick up on. Little things in your expression or tone that might tip them off to how you really feel about things. Which is...sadly why Kuzuryuu prefers to use it.]
[Though, of course, sometimes it backfires. Because sometimes, on very rare occasions, Kuzuryuu finds himself actually wanting to be genuine about his feelings instead of hiding them under layers and layers of tsundere bullshit. Like right now, for instance.]
Heh. I didn't give you enough credit, did I?
[He kind of just assumed Gundam was talking about magical bullshit because when is he NOT talking about magical bullshit? Though, jeez, when did this conversation get so serious?]
By the way...it looks like Hanamura and Souda are gone. Hinata's going over to their places to double check, but they've both got error messages if you try and look them up.
[Not that...Gundam will probably be too heartbroken over the latter but may as well let him know.]
[These are basically Kuzuryuu's feelings on the matter. They're not his favorite classmates (Hanamura, especially), but he'd rather have them here than not. And he really doesn't like the random abruptness of it.]
They weren't, no. But Hinata said it's all random. Showing up, leaving...time doesn't seem to matter.
