Lapines and rodents are typical creatures used in projects such as that, yes. They're cute, something which would entice humans to care for them.

To date, he is the only human I have met that has this trait.

And there's no saying anything would come of it if she does arrive, but there's no point in seeking companionship in another here either.

Not because she is a terrifying woman, but the natural charisma and firm decisiveness that she possesses is something any mortal can believe in and follow with confidence.
Her will power is impressive, erring on the side of stubborn or bull headed.
It takes more than mere disagreement to force her to back down from her stance on any subject, though while assertive she is never overbearing in arguing this.
